Cville Jazz Productions is a nonprofit based in Charlottesville, Virginia with a focus on spreading the culture and beauty of jazz through artist support and educational opportunities.
Keeping in mind Paula Scher's logo for the Lincoln Center, jazz is about being a little off kilter or being 'a square peg in a round hole'. This inspired the slight tilt in the saxophone J as well as the o in productions. Inspired by many other general jazz logos that make the J in jazz a saxophone, I wondered... why not make the sax a J?
