Book Cover Design
This class project consisted of designed a book cover inspired by a design movement, in this case, I chose to focus on the Bauhaus. My favorite aspects of the Bauhaus movement have always been the furniture, so I chose to add them to the cover in an abstracted layout.
I chose classic Bauhaus colors for not only an eye catching design but for easy recognition. On the back is a frontal view of the Bauhaus school in Dessau, as well as an abstracted form of its aerial view. The title "Gesamtkunstwerk" is not only a reference to Bauhaus philosophies but also means "a complete work of art" in German.
