Charlottesville Jazz Fest
Logo, Branding, and Poster Design
Charlottesville JazzFest (2026) is a music festival hosted in Charlottesville, WV by the Charlottesville Jazz Society. The Charlottesville Jazz Society aims to bring people together through the spirit of jazz — celebrating its culture and qualities of innovation, improvisation, and collaboration.
Using Gesalt theory, I created the initial Jazz Fest logo, hiding a trumpet in between the skewed lettering. I wanted a logo with movement and fun, while still being able to fit easily in a grid for reproduction. After this, I worked the the JazzFest team to design posters, flyers, a map and several magazine advertisements.
